ChuJiamen Travel & lifestyle website Design
Husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Jeremy Chen and Cee Song commissioned me to design website mockups for their travel & lifestyle company, Chujiamen Information Technology, Inc.. The company publishes and curates travel and lifestyle contents on their website and wechat in-app program for consumers seeking unique and luxury getaway experiences. The content then directs users to book accommodations using the company’s tailored booking and planning services.
Mockups and presentations demonstrating the interactivities and functionalities were sent to the client for feedback, and the revised mockups were then handed off to the web developers to create interactive and responsive prototypes according to the designs.
For the main categories, a combination of “Load more” and lazy-loading was used for performance optimization. This would give users access to the footer, as well as a healthy moment to decide if they want to continue scrolling.

Registered members of the website can save any article to be read later or save it as a favorite article. They can also save a featured business or an event in their wish list, and move it to their activity list when they have completed the experience.
Members can rate and review businesses, write private travel notes, and view all the activities on their timeline later. When reviewing a business that falls under the Food & Drink category, users can tag dishes they recommend and submit short reviews for other readers.
